From Raw Steel to Finished Edge
Every blade starts as a flat bar of Chrome Vanadium steel. It's heated, forged into the curved profile, then each tooth is individually ground and induction-hardened — a slower process than stamping, but it's the only way to get a tooth that holds an edge instead of rolling over on the first knot. Once ground, blades are tempered to balance hardness against flex, so the blade can bow slightly under load without snapping or taking a permanent set.
